Construction has kicked off at Bayside North’s new lakeside park. When complete in March 2019, the 8-acre peninsula park and its half-acre dog park will be open to the public (and their pooches).
Designed by award-winning landscape architecture firm Ten Eyck Landscape Architects to reflect Rowlett’s natural Blackland Prairie environment, the park will add almost 400 new trees, a 3-acre meadow, winding trails along the water’s edge and stone block benches with vistas of the lake.
Additionally, it will be fully connected to Bayside’s lakeshore trail, which will also be open soon to the public, providing new outdoor spaces for Rowlett residents to enjoy the lake.
